Piruuttaan on hyvä sana

Spooky.  Pitäisi katsoa Salaisia Kansioitakin mutta en koskaan ehdi. On liikaa hommaa. Tumplöössä esimerkiksi... En ehdi edes kuunnella musiikkia juuri koskaan. Ajatelkaa kuinka kiireinen olenkaan.

Kello on paljon taas. Sisarukset. Ne alkavat jo molemmat olla aika vanhoja.

Kirjoitin tumplööhön tosi omituisesti yhtäkkiä yllättäen pitkähkön hölynpölyn kuolemasta. Näin se meni, en tod viitsi suomentaa:

WEIRD RANDOM RANT ABOUT DEATH THAT GOT WAY LONGER THAN INTENDED
I just realized this again, but I’m actually one of those people who are kinda sorta used to death? I guess.

I grew up on a tiny little farm. I’ve seen little stillborn lambs and I’ve held a newborn baby lamb with the most amazing silky black wool, knowing it’s not gonna make it. I’ve seen my dad cut up a sheep and a bull, I’ve held a fresh heart in my hands, I’ve cooked intestines that were alive just an hour before. I’ve thrown leftovers to our dogs. Halves of stillborn little lambs even. I’ve cried for dead puppies and kittens. I’ve buried three old dogs with my dad over the years. I think I have a very healthy relationship with death, and I definitely know the cost of having meat on my plate (even though I mostly eat vegetarian, and I don’t buy mass produced meat from supermarkets), and I cry for every sheep and every bull and every lamb and every cat and every dog just the same. I say my silent thanks to them and their sacrifice. But I also know that meat is what has kept me alive in my childhood. We didn’t have much money, and growing our own food and hunting was essential to live. That is what a lot of people don’t understand nowadays. It’s easy to live in a city and judge anyone who eats meat.

But back to death. I have also lost a family member. This trauma is still present in my everyday life, after sixteen years. I feel like death is all around me in everything I see. But death does not haunt me in my sleep. I think I have made peace with it. I believe in reincarnation nowadays, it has brought me comfort and peace. I know my brother has visited me in my sleep and I know he’s doing fine. Death is not a religious thing to me, but spiritual nonetheless.

But I am still afraid, it has been such a long time since my brother died, I don’t know how I will handle another death, in my current life. It is going to be unavoidable, eventually. I feel very fragile. Mourning about someone’s death is very selfish, you know? It is the feeling of “what am I gonna do without them” more than mourning for them. Why would I mourn for them? My grandma is 89 years old and she’s bored and her body is failing and all her friends and siblings are dead, she talks about death a lot, waits for it. Why would I deny that for her? It is the future without her that I fear. I have a lot of older aunts and uncles. Both my parents are over 60. There’s only going to be more death in my future, maybe sooner, maybe later. I have been thinking about it a lot lately. Fearing for myself, for my mental health. How many more blows can it take?

But my own death, that doesn’t concern me as much. I feel suicidal every now and then, periodically, but I don’t think it will ever come to that. The feeling always passes. My death, to me, is not a big deal, I believe I would just move on to the next chapter. But to my loved ones it would be. Just the same way I’m fearing my grandma’s death at the moment. Someone who loves me would have to go on with life without me, and that is what would hurt them the most.

I’m not going anywhere with this, if that’s what you’re expecting. Just thoughts.

Okei sellaista, kuolema. Teki vain mieli jakaa täälläkin koska omg kirjoitin jotain.

Tuli vähän nostalginen olo, sellainen hölmö, joten kappale:
